all beings exist
to awaken to the light
of their true nature
the man living on monument circle
says heโll let me know
when he cracks that code
so, what about the djinn?
and do I have kids?
no one knows suffering like he does
he feels his children dying
repeatedly across infinite dimensions
realms beyond comprehension
in the 3D and 4D, iโve seen
kids vanish from their oldest mother
in phosphorous rain and
bombs made in missouri
humanity or the djinn?
i pray that Earthโs children never relive
this horrific vibration
again, cycles of captivity
brought my children to me
ancient blessings of the dinosaurs
a stork arrives with injured chicks
an intelligent, looping universe
i proclaim:
โmy kids are birdsโ
throws his sorrow off a bit
โbirdsโฆโ he mutters in a semi-smile
โi like their vibesโ
Liberation is a dream within reach through the compassionate actions of each of us. This poem was inspired by a conversation with a man who, in modern society would be dismissed as mentally unwell, is able to tap into a reality that most cannot fathom. Forms of oppression will appear in cycles if we don’t heed the learnings of history. All beings, especially those who have been commodified or vilified, will be free.
My newest poem, MONUMENTAL CIRCLE, is featured in Gluestick Zine Collective‘s poetry zine Anaphora vol 3. Be sure to pick up a copy to help raise funds for the new railroad city bookmobile that will catalog self-published books, zines and comics!
Gluestick Zine Collective was the first community I reached out to when arriving in Indianapolis, and I feel so blessed to have been welcomed in their community, events and publications over the last couple years. ๐ฉท๐๐งก
And endless appreciation for my sweet bird kiddos, Rainford and Aspen, who showed up injured and bonded at the hip almost three years ago. So honored to witness them heal and grow. Pure chaos so thankfully, our two distinguished gentlemen adoptees, Opa and Whimsey, keep it low-key.
